Take this medication on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. This drug is usually taken every 4 to 6 hours. Follow your doctor’s instructions.

Do not crush, chew, or break an extended-release tablet. Swallow it whole. Breaking the pill may cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.
